Legacy began their partnership with UFC back in February 2021 and it has gone strength ever since.
On Friday 26th Legacy and Wigan Youth Zone attended the Ultimate Fighting Championship weigh-in at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester. UFC greats such as Paddy ‘The Baddy” Pimlet , Tom Aspinall, Belal Muhammed , Molly Mcann and Leon Edwards were amongst those on the bill hyping up the crowd, including our young people who had prime seats.
Following the weigh-in, all of our members got the chance to meet the president of UFC, Dana White, as well as heavyweight champion Tommy Aspinall.
To top it all off,Dana asked whether we were going to the fight the following evening and when our young people replied no, he proceeded to secure a VIP suite for them to be able to attend.
The next night, our young people enjoyed a private VIP suite, equipped with a staff, complimentary soft drinks , food and ring side seats.
These experiences are truly once in a lifetime for our young people and are something they won’t be forgetting any time soon.
Watching the fighters fight was so eye-opening, to see their techniques that they use, it was amazing. My favourite part of the weigh-in was when Paddy Pimblett came out. He was so confident and I enjoyed his fight too, the way he performed his triangle choke was so impressive.
