Legacy Youth Zone Golf Day Raises Over £80,000 for Young People Across Croydon

Legacy Youth Zone Croydon is delighted to announce that its annual Golf Day, organised by Trustee Indy Chatwal, Managing Director of I See Apps, has raised more than £80,000 to support thousands of local young people.

Held on Wednesday 24 June at the prestigious The Addington Golf Course, the event brought together more than 100 golfers, local business leaders, supporters and sponsors for a day of sport, networking and fundraising in aid of Legacy Youth Zone’s life-changing work. The headline sponsor was from Modern Health Group for the day alongside other sponsors including: BootBuddy, Roasting Party, Bradley & Sons, Whisky Brokers Associates, Live Mauritius, Quilter, Namos Solutions, PMJ Risk Solutions, Sherrards, Roley’s, HotBoss, TW Drainage and Mobsta.

The event was made possible through the support of a number of generous sponsors and partners, alongside an extraordinary £20,000 match-funding donation from Ryan Noades, Managing Director of The Addington Golf Club, which significantly boosted the fundraising total and helped maximise the impact of every contribution made on the day.

The funds raised will directly support Legacy Youth Zone’s mission to provide young people with access to opportunities, support, and affordable activities in a safe and inspiring environment, helping them to thrive and reach their full potential.

Indy Chatwal, Trustee at Legacy Youth Zone and Managing Director of I See Apps, said:

“To see more than 100 golfers come together in support of Legacy Youth Zone demonstrates the strength of our community and the commitment local businesses have to investing in young people. I would like to thank everyone who participated, sponsored and donated. Raising over £80,000 is a fantastic achievement and will make a real difference to the lives of young people across our community.”

Myke Catterall, Chief Executive of Legacy Youth Zone, added:

“Our Golf Day was a fantastic success and a brilliant example of what can be achieved when businesses and supporters come together behind young people. The funds raised will help Legacy continue to provide life-changing opportunities for thousands of young people across Croydon. A huge thank you to everyone who took part, and especially to Indy, whose hard work and dedication in organising the event made the day possible.”

The success of the Golf Day highlights the growing support for Legacy Youth Zone and its vision to ensure every young person has somewhere safe to go, something positive to do, and someone trusted to talk to.
