Congrats Grace!

Ruby is a junior member who loves doing football, gym, cooking and gymnastics with us. Youth Worker Michael who runs the gymnastics sessions is very impressed with her determination to excel in this area.

Ruby said “One of the most rewarding achievement so far is trying to get into the Team gymnastics was challenging, but it was worth the wait because I finally achieved something I wanted to do. In gymnastics we work on getting stronger, we work on flexibility and we show gymnastic sequences to others downstairs in the REC area.”

Congrats Max!

Max was awarded for his commitment to the Legacy Lions Football Team, Young Leaders and an overall great role model to our young members.

Max said, “I love coming to Legacy, it has really changed my life since I rarely used to go out so it was hard to meet peers that like the same things I do.”

Congrats Charley!

Charley was awarded for their amazing effort in the Music Room. Charley became a member of the choir directing and helping their peers. If Shannan or Katie (Music Youth Workers) need extra help we know Charley will have our back!

Charley said “Thank you so much guys, I really appreciate all you do here at Legacy and a big thank you to Shannan, Katia, and Ashley for uplifting me when I needed it the most”.

Congrats Amerkai!

Amerkai was awarded for his consistency, focus, and determination in his brand/product, utilising all the resources at hand during your time in the Enterprise room. You are amazing!

Amerkai said, “Thank you Legacy, I really appreciate all that you’ve done and still are doing. Having the opportunity to have a one-to-one chat with #johnboyega gave insight in how to manage myself and my clothing brand for the near future”.

Congrats Nikki

Nikki was awarded for her work with Margarita pushes further the potential for what the Media Room is capable of. From utilising our equipment in new ways for example creating stickers utilising the printer or decorating the Media Room and having informative discussions in the Media and Art room on digital cultures and broadening people’s interest in Media from her culture.

Nikki said, “Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work on my hobbies and skills, while having fun with Margarita!”

Congrats Lucus & Elijah!

Lucus & Elijah have been awarded for their commitment to Media Squad, in particular designing the Legacy Lions Mascot and during their work experience, they were given the task to design Legacy’s new Timetable programme. We can’t forget their involvement in various fundraising events as well as hitting every target(in terms of donations)! From the communications, fundraising, and delivering departments… WE THANK YOU

Congrats Cameron!

Cameron has been awarded for his commitment to our Legacy Leopards Basketball Team, making sure the team is motivated and on time becoming a role model to other sports members. Cameron has been attending Legacy for over 2 years now and is loved by all.

Cameron said, “Thank you for the gift and I appreciate the recognition. Thanks again guys”.

Congrats Michaela!

Michaela is a TRIPLE THREAT, she’s a fantastic actress, singer, and dancer. She doesn’t shy away from trying things outside her comfort zone, she fully embraces being silly and is not scared to get up and try new things. She is just a joy to work with.

Well done Michaela & Merry Christmas.

Congrats Riley!

Riley was awarded for his amazing progression from Junior to Senior session, he has generally gained more confidence with Senior staff members and public speaking. His energy is infectious and everyone loves being around him. He’s super kind to his friends. He also hosted the supporter’s dinner which was a first for him.

Riley said, “Thank you to the staff member that nominated me and Merry Christmas to everyone that works at Legacy… I love it here!”

Congrats Sean!

Sean always puts other people first, giving words of encouragement, showing other young people how to improve their training and will stop in the middle of his own training to help other young people.

Sean said, “Thank you so much, it’s grateful for being recognised. You guys are the best!”

Congrats Grace!

Grace has created amazing work in the art room with help from Diana and her imaginative original piece titled, The Eye, created in honour of Mental Health Awareness day had inspired many young people who saw the work and brought onlookers to the event to talk about being inspired just by how young and skilled she is.

Congrats Maria!

Maria was awarded for her consistency training, she attends every week for the girls’ self-defence class since it started and during the summer holidays.

Maria said, “Thank you so much for the Apple AirPods and the one-to-one training during self-defence. Merry Christmas to you too”
