The School and Community Support Officer will assist in bridging the gap between vulnerable young people in schools being able to access Legacy and wider community activities and them accessing Legacy. As the support officer, you will work closely with the School and Community Engagement Manager to support young people on sessions, identify vulnerable young people and work with the through a clear and thorough school referral process. You will also assist with school assemblies and engagement and support the programme with the administration as we work alongside Reedham Children’s Trust who are funding the project.
You will need to have an understanding of the needs of young people in Croydon. You will have experience in coaching young people and be able to multitask to design a tailored programme that will support young people who are at risk of exclusion, expulsion, and social isolation by creating individual programmes for young people and continuing to support them through their duration of the project.

To work at Legacy, all applicants must be over the age of 18. To work with our senior members who are aged 13+, applicants must be over the age of 21.
Hours:
Fixed term until August 2025 (2 years funding), 20 hours per week across three days starting no later than 12pm and finishing no later than 6pm (we will consider flexible requests if they align with the organisations and role needs).
Salary: £11.95 per hour
