“My name is Jhovanny Dawkins

I go to Walworth Academy in Camberwell and I am in year 10.

I wanted to come and do my work experience here because I wanted to get an idea of what it is like to work with young people outside of being at school.

My journey with Legacy on work experience included the following:

Monday- I started from 10am to 4pm. I helped the Facilities Manager to check the first aid boxes. I then helped to take out the rubbish. This is useful for keeping up with Health and Safety Procedures.

Tuesday- I started from 12pm to 6pm. I shadowed the youth workers and help on session. I spend the session on the football pitch that is called the MUGA.

Wednesday- I worked from 10am-12pm – I organised the uniform for the staff. This was to help the Volunteering & Training Manager and the HR Manager.

Thursday- I started from 12pm to 6pm. I shadowed the youth workers and help on session. I spend the session on the MUGA.

Friday- I spent time with the Marketing Manager and we worked on a blog post about my time here at Legacy during my work experience.

Overall this week, ,my favourite thing about being at Legacy has been working with Angela, who is the Volunteer and Training Manager. I helped her organise the uniform for all the staff.

I found this interesting because Angela was very funny and helpful.

Bye for now,

Mr Dawkins”
