Set up a Fundraiser on Facebook

Are you thinking of setting up a Facebook fundraiser to support our mission as we strive to ensure that all young people are given an opportunity and a place to discover their full potential?

If so, then we think your ace – better yet – a Legacy Legend!

The need for the support is growing and we believe that together we can ensure that every young person can become the best version of themselves whilst at Legacy.

At Legacy we believe that all young people should have access to the same opportunities without barriers including income, religion, ethnicity, sexulity or any things that could be perceived as a hindrance.

Set your goal today, and share your donation efforts with your family and friends.

Top Tips For Setting Up Your Facebook Fundraiser

Here’s some tips to help you raise money on your Facebook Fundraiser:

Set your target

Set a goal for your fundraiser, so that your family and friends can see the target you’ve set yourself, and support you in meeting, or even exceeding your goal!

Share with your friends

Once you’ve set up your Facebook fundraiser, you will be able to share it with your connections on Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp and email.

You can share your fundraiser more than once in case people miss it the first time round, or if they’re not in a position to donate right away.

State why you care about Legacy

You’re fundraising for a cause that means a lot to you. Tell your donors and friends why they should support us in ensuring all young people are given an opportunity and a place to discover their full potential.

Post updates

You can post occasional updates to your fundraiser feed, if you hit a new goal then show everyone your appreciation. Also, you can send a nice message to everyone a day or two before the fundraiser ends, and remind those that haven’t yet donated to do so.

Say thank you!

Make sure you thank everyone who has donated to your fundraiser, and ‘like’ their donation on your page, as well as reaching out directly with a proper thank you.
