Empow(her) is a 6-week project put together for senior girls.
The project was put in place to ensure that the young girls at legacy feel and know that they are heard, respected, supported but most importantly not alone in what they may be facing. Each week will touch on a different topic such as self-esteem, career choices and relationships. Ideally each session will be led by a different female worker at legacy to highlight that while womanhood is multifaceted, we all face similar adversities. We hope from this, the girls will be more aware of themselves and their potential.
Empow(her) will begin on the 6th of June and end July 18th and there will be an event on the 21st of July to conclude the 6-week workshop.
